A femme-focused beginner surf club and community group.

Who we are

Surfers

The Yeasty Boys surf club is open to surfers of all levels! Our goal is to create and foster connections for femme folks and allies in the surf community. We partner our more experienced members with beginners and make each other comfortable in the water.

Community Builders

We love to surf together, but we love our community too! The Yeasty Boys aim to host and volunteer for as many community events as possible including beach clean-ups, surf therapy sessions, film festivals and more.

Friends

At it’s core, The Yeasty Boys are just a bunch of pals who want to share the stoke. Connecting surfers of all levels and walks of life is our ultimate goal. If we can introduce even two people who want to hang, we’ll be happy!

About us

We're going to be honest, this started as something founder Gina Jurlando used to joke about.

What was initially a silly way she explained the group of women she surfed with has expanded into a group of surfers of all levels, genders, backgrounds, and towns who want to learn, want to teach, or just want a buddy to paddle out with. Yeasty Boys was founded in 2021 after learning of how many femme folks were hesitant to learn to surf or paddle out for fear of getting in the way of the male-dominated lineup.

Yeasty Boys is a social club with a focus on community service. When we're not in the water, we're cooking up ways to help out our neighbors and keep our oceans clean.

Want to work together? Need volunteers for an event? Drop us a line!
